Marching Lions Will Play In Style

Lithia Springs High School marching band raised enough money for uniforms.

I'm no writer but I'll do my best.

WE DID IT!

WE DID IT! After receiving two very generous donations this past couple of weeks, we have reached our goal. Anyone following the story knows that the Lithis Springs Marching Lions were trying to raise almost $23,000 to replace their 16-year-old uniforms.  For the last year, the band has actively been fundraising to pay for the new uniforms.  In December the band was able to make the deposit of $11,500 but still needed to raise the balance.

We then turned to the community for help and they stepped up.  We received donations from people in the community and from several local businesses.  Two weeks ago Vulcan Materials Inc. of Lithia Springs presented the band a check for $3,400 at their spring concert. The generous donation came from Vulcan and several of their vendors. This past week we also received a donation for the balance from the school.

The kids are so thrilled and want to thank everyone who had a part in helping them meet their goal. The band will be in new uniforms, proudly representing Lithia Springs High School when they take the field this upcoming season.
