ITT Tech Holds Ribbon Cutting, Tour on Thursday

Douglasville Mayor Harvey Persons is scheduled to attend the new school's ribbon cutting and open house on Thursday, Jan. 10, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The ITT Technical Institute in Douglasville will debut its new school with a Douglas County Chamber ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on Thursday, Jan. 10 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mayor Harvey Persons is scheduled to attend.

The ribbon cutting will feature refreshments, tours of the school, and information on ITT Technical Institute’s associate and bachelor’s degree programs in the Schools of Information Technology, Electronics Technology, Drafting and Design, Business and Criminal Justice.

The ITT Technical Institute in Douglasville is the fourth location in Georgia, joining other ITT Techs in Atlanta, Kennesaw and Duluth. The school is located at 5905 Stewart Parkway.

Classes began in June 2012 at the Douglasville location. The college’s five schools of study—the School of Information Technology, School of Electronics Technology, School of Drafting and Design, School of Business and School of Criminal Justice—include programs that teach skills and knowledge that can be used to pursue careers in the global, technology-driven business environment. The ITT Technical Institute is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) to award Associate of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees.
