Football: Alexander Jockeys for Playoffs

Alexander (4-4, 3-2) at Villa Rica (4-3, 3-1) – has won two of its last three games and desperately needs to win tonight to keep pace in the Region 5S-AAAA standings. A win tonight pushes the Cougars into third place while a loss keeps the team in fourth but opens the door to at least one team trailing in the standings to steal the final playoff spot.

Lithia Springs (0-7, 0-4) at Chapel Hill (4-3, 3-1) – is still winless on the season but has played its four Region 5S-AAAA opponents closely, losing by an average of just over nine points per game. has won four of its last five games and is tied for second place in the region. A win by the Panthers keeps them in the playoff hunt.
