CHHS FBLAers Place at State

Three Chapel Hill High School students, all members of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), attended the state FBLA conference at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta from March 15 and 16.

Three Chapel Hill High School students, all members of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), attended the state FBLA conference at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta from March 15 and 16. The members competed in various state competitive events and attended several leadership workshops at the conference.

Two members brought home awards. Justin bell placed 1st in the Public Speaking I Competition and the team of Justin Bell and Rasheed Tromp placed 1st in Marketing qualifying them for Nationals in June. The chapter also won Chapter of the Year, Honor Roll Level Award. Chapters receive points for chapter management, conference attendance, recruitment, public relations, and participation in national and state projects.

Instructor and adviser Kristin Caverly said she is very proud of these students who have been working tirelessly all year as they have worked and prepared for this moment.
