Tributary to Hold Candidates Forum

The Tributary Civic Affairs Committee is hosting a Douglasville Mayoral Candidates Forum in Founders Park located in the Village at Tributary. This event will take place on Sunday, Oct. 9, from 1 to 3 p.m.

The Tributary Civic Affairs Committee is hosting a Mayoral Candidates Forum in Founders Park located in the Village at Tributary. This event will take place on Sunday, Oct. 9, from 1 to 3 p.m.

“This is open to all Douglasville residents who are seeking to learn more about the candidates and the issues,” according to Forum coordinator Richard Segal. “Candidates will address the audience as well as answer questions submitted by the community.”

This is an opportunity for the community to meet the candidates and learn about the issues. This family-friendly event is open to all in Douglasville who would like to become more informed in order to make a better decision on election day, Nov. 8. Interested citizens are encouraged to email their questions for the candidates in advance to DouglasvilleDecision2011@yahoo.com, an email address set up specifically for this purpose.

Additional details:

  • All four candidates for Douglasville mayor have confirmed their participation at this event.
  • This event is being held on the grass in the park, so it is suggested those wishing to attend bring lawn chairs and/or picnic blankets to ensure their comfort.
  • In the event of inclement weather, the Forum will be moved indoors to Tributary’s Village Activity Center,
  • Members of the media are invited to attend and include this event in their election-season coverage.
  • Sound system provided by Green Audio.
