Trash Day Moves to Wednesday Because of Fourth of July Holiday

Douglasville and Douglas County government offices will be closed for Independence Day.

Put your trash out on Wednesday if it's normally picked up on Thursday. The city of Douglasville announced that because of the Fourth of July holiday, sanitation routes scheduled for Thursday will run on Wednesday.
Normal sanitation pickup will resume on Thursday, July 11.
City offices will be closed on July 4th for the Independence Day holiday.
The Douglas County Courthouse also will be closed in observance of this holiday. The Douglas County Sheriff's Department, Fire/EMS Department, and E911 will be open and active on this holiday, the county reports.
Expect all city and county government offices to be closed on Thursday, along with banks, credit unions and the U.S. Postal Service.
