Early Voting for District 30 Starts

Early voting starts today in the State Senate District 30 Race, between Libertarian candidate James Camp and Republican candidate Mike Dugan, in a Jan. 8 special election.

Early voting starts today in the State Senate District 30 Race, between Libertarian candidate James Camp and Republican candidate Mike Dugan, in a Jan. 8 special election to ultimately determine the district’s next senator.

In Douglas County at the courthouse on Hospital Drive; in Carroll County you can vote at the County Admin Building on College Street; and in Paulding at the new government complex on U.S. 278.

Camp lives just outside of Temple has been employed as a senior IT technician for the past five years with a small IT consulting firm in Carrollton, according to his website.Β

Dugan is a 20-year Army veteran and local building contractor, according to his website.

Dugan replaces Bill Hamrick on the ballot. Hamrick, the Republican who previously represented District 30, was tapped by Gov. Nathan Deal earlier this year to serve as superior court judge.

District 30 covers a southern portion of Paulding County, most of Carroll County and a western portion of Douglas County.
