Douglas Commissioners Propose Rollback on Tax Millage Rate

Reduction should be reflected on tax bills issued in September.

The Douglas County Board of Commissioners is proposing to roll back the 2014 tax millage rate in proportion to the increase in the 2014 property tax digest.

The county tax millage rate is proposed to be reduced from 12.25 mils to 12.153 mils to accommodate the 1.37-percent growth in the digest.

The Board of Commissioners will hold a special-called meeting at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 29 in Citizen’s Hall to adopt the millage rate which will be reflected on the tax bills issued in September.
