Discover Douglasville Photo Contest, 2013 Call for Entries

The Douglasville Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) announces a call for entries for its 2013 Discover Douglasville Photo Contest.

In an effort to create a photo contest that not only stimulates creativity, but showcases Douglasville and Douglas County at its best, the Douglasville Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) announces a call for entries for its 2013 Discover Douglasville Photo Contest. Entry is free and open to amateur and professional photographers ages 18 and older. The contest is open for submissions now until April 3 with participants allowed to enter up to two photos.

Six finalists will be selected in April based on appeal, content, and photographic skill. Each of the six images will be used to create high quality electronic and printed postcards, and will also be showcased on the Douglasville CVB website and Facebook page. Additionally, the top six photos will be featured in the Douglasville CVB's quarterly e-newsletter. The grand prize winner will receive a $200 gift card courtesy of the Douglasville Convention & Visitors Bureau. The six finalists will be judged by visitors to the Douglasville CVB website who will vote for the best image. The top winner will be announced in May during National Travel and Tourism Week. All photos selected will be properly credited to their photographers. Finalists will also receive printed copies of the postcard showcasing their photo.

“Use your skills and creativity to capture Douglasville and Douglas County's most striking and unique sites, and enter your photos into the Discover Douglasville Photo Contest. Images should show enough beauty or curiosity to entice viewers to want to visit or learn more about the subject,” said Douglasville CVB Tourism Director Randi Miles.
