Agenda for special meeting of the Douglasville City Council at 7:30 p.m. Thursday includes:

  • Authorize the mayor to sign a new revised contract with DeNyse Companies, Inc., in lieu of the revised contract approved by the City Council during its Aug. 20 meeting, for interior and exterior signage for the Douglasville Conference Center and Parking Garage at a cost not to exceed $71,310.16.


Agenda for legislative work session at 7:35 p.m. Thursday includes:

  • Adopt a resolution stating the City of Douglasville’s support of National Preparedness Month.
  • Adopt a resolution approving a rental agreement for users of the Douglasville Conference Center located at 6700 and 6701 Church Street
  • Tabled from August 20, 2012: A request for a change in zoning from CN (Neighborhood Commercial District) to R-6 (Single-Family Attached Apartment Residential District) on approximately .73 +/- acres at 8313 Dallas Highway, located in Land Lot 17, District 1, Section 5A, Parcel 30.  Application by City of Douglasville.
  • Appoint an individual to the Post 3 position on the City of Douglasville Zoning Board for a five-year term extending through June 1, 2017.
  • Authorize the mayor to sign a one-year agreement with Comcast to supply a website for West Pines Golf Club located in the City of Douglasville’s Parks and Recreation Department.
  • Authorize the Mayor to sign service order addenda to contract SGDGV0710, dated July 12, 2010, with SyncGlobal Telecom, for SIP Voice Service for the new telephone system for the City of Douglasville.
  • Adopt a resolution providing for adoption of a new organizational chart for the City of Douglasville’s Development Services Department.
  • Amend certain job descriptions for positions in the City of Douglasville Development Services Department.
  • Amend the job description of the City of Douglasville Communications Director.
