Woman Claims Self-Defense in Stabbing of Husband

A Douglasville woman faces aggravated assault charges for allegedly stabbing her husband in the head.

Tawnya Huell Watson, 44, said she was only protecting herself when she  stabbed her husband on the left front side of his head and on a shoulder.

Watson told Chief Magistrate Judge Susan Camp the man was choking her and she was acting in self-defense, according to the Douglas County Sentinel.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant told the judge deputies have responded to domestic dispute calls several times over the years.
