Student Catches on Fire at Chapel Hill High School

A Chapel Hill High School student caught on fire at school Thursday.

During a demonstration for AP students Thursday, an accident occurred and a student caught on fire, Maj. Tommy Wheeler, Douglas County Sheriff's Department, said in an email.  

A teacher pushed the student to the ground and was trying to get the fire out but was unsuccessful. With quick action Will Wheeler, a student at the school, got the fire blanket and was able extinguish the fire quickly. 

Editor's note: The school system can not release the name of the student but we are trying to get more details about the accident.
