Sheriff's Office Nabs Possible Circle K Robber

Christopher Beal was arrested by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office on Friday and could be the suspect wanted in November's Circle K robbery.

On Jan. 10, the Douglas County Sheriff’s fugitive unit and the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) arrested Christopher Beal, 26, for armed robbery and shoplifting charges out of Douglas County. Beal was arrested at the Deluxe Inn Motel on Campbellton Rd. in Atlanta Friday night after his location was determined. Beal is currently incarcerated at the Douglas County Jail.

Beal may be the man wanted in a Nov. 2 Circle K robbery, according to the Douglas County Sentinel. The attempted robbery on Stewart's Mill Rd. lead to a the store's manager being fired for shooting at the robber.

Beal, of Austell, appeared in Douglas County Magistrate Court Monday charged with armed robbery and felony shoplifting and was denied bond by Judge Susan Camp.
