Sheriff's Office: Arrest Made in Connection with Recent Burglaries In Douglas Co.

The man is accused of burglary in the Brookfield Village Community.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office has arrested and charged a man in connection with recent burglaries in the Brookfield Village Community.

On June 9, Investigator Peter Hoberg arrested Jaquavius Mallory after a search warrant was executed at Mallory's residence in Brookfield Village, the department said in a news release. Mallory was charged with first-degree burglary and was being held without bond Wednesday, according to Douglas County jail records.

The news release stated Investigator Joe Williams responded to a burglary in the area on May 31 to process the scene for any forensic or physical evidence.

"From the processing of this evidence and through identification means, Jaquavius Mallory was positively identified as being involved in this burglary," the department stated.

Mallory was arrested without incident.

"As a result of this arrest and follow up interview, an additional burglary was cleared by arrest," the sheriff's office said.
