Update: 7-Year-Old Rescued from Well, Being Airlifted to Hospital

A rescue mission to save a seven-year-old Carroll County girl has been successful after she fell into a well. The girl is being life air lifted to an Atlanta hospital.

Update 4:24 p.m.

Chief Deputy Brad Robinson, Carroll County Sheriff's Department, confirms that the girl has been rescued from the well with some non-life-threatening injuries and is being life airlifted to an Atlanta hospital.

Carroll County Emergency Crews are currently on a rescue mission to saveΒ a seven-year-old girl that has fallen into a well in Whitesburg on Ivey Road.

Chief Deputy Brad Robinson, Carroll County Sheriff's Department, said that a rescue helicopter is standing by and a fireman is currently in the well speaking to the girl.

The rescue mission has been ongoing for about an hour.
