Police Search for Circle K Armed Robber

The Douglasville Police and Douglas County Sheriff's Office are searching for a man who attempted to rob the Highway 5 Circle K on Saturday morning.

A thin black man entered the convenience store at about 9:20 a.m. and sprayed the clerk with pepper spray, attempting to rob the business. Another clerk in the back room shot at the attempted robber but missed and the robber left with nothing, according to Lt. Bruce Ferguson, Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect police are looking for is about 5 foot 6 inches tall and was wearing jeans and a grey hoodie.

Douglasville Police Chief Chris Womack said the police have some good leads as to who the man is.

"The subject would be much better off if he finds us before we find him," Womack said.

Anyone with information about this incident, should call Lt. Bruce Ferguson at 770-942-2121.
