No one was hurt in the incident at the Millwood Park Apartments last night.

No one was hurt in a home invasion overnight at the Millwood Park Apartments on Duralee Lane in Douglasville, said Maj. Greg Graff of the .

A 911 call reporting the home invasion came around midnight Wednesday, Graff said.

He said a woman was in the apartment, and her boyfriend had just arrived home when the invasion occurred. One of the two assailants had a handgun, one victim said.

The woman’s father said the two attackers forced the couple into a laundry room and locked them inside, WSB-TV Channel 2 reported.

There are conflicting accounts about whether anything was stolen, Graff said, and police are investigating.

The victims told police they did not know the two invaders, who reportedly wore no masks, but the descriptions of the culprits are vague. Graff said police are looking for two black men driving a burgundy car.

Millwood Park resident Lavar Humphrey said he saw five or six police cars outside his building about 1 a.m.

"I heard someone kicked in the door," he said.

Humphrey said his own apartment was broken into about six weeks ago. "I came back from Florida, and someone had kicked in the door. The door frame and everything was just hanging there when I got back, and the door was wide open."

He said nothing was stolen in his case except for some groceries and shoes, even though a laptop computer and PlayStation video game system were in the apartment.

"I had to report it to the police to get the door fixed," he said.

Graff said the investigation into the home invasion is in its early stages, and anyone who has anything to report about the incident should call the Police Department at 770-920-3010.
