Police: Inmate Attacks Inmate for Pacing

Stop Pacing!

A disagreement between two inmates on Monday morning resulted in felony charges for one of them, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Facebook page. Inmate Everett Newman, 37, became agitated when his roommate wouldn’t stop pacing in the room. Both inmates argued briefly before the victim sat down on his mattress.

Newman struck the victim numerous times before pinning him to the ground. Officers rushed in and separated the inmates without further incident. Newman appeared before the Magistrate Judge and received a $2,000 bond for the new charge.

Lithia Springs Man Sells Drugs to Agents

The Special Investigations Division executed a search warrant at the residence of Dondregus Grier, 34, on the evening of Oct. 24, according to the Sheriff's Facebook page. Over the past couple of weeks agents have been purchasing marijuana from Grier at his Lithia Springs residence. During the execution of the search warrant, marijuana and cocaine were located in his residence.

Grier is currently out on bond in Douglas County for possession with intent to distribute marijuana. A failure to appear warrant was issued for Grier after he failed to show up for court on the marijuana with intent to distribute charges. He was scheduled to appear before the magistrate court on Oct. 25 to answer to the failure to appear, two counts of sales of marijuana and two counts of use of communication device to facilitate a Felony.
