Two men believed to be “serial” armed robbers are sitting in the Douglas County Jail without bond, a Marietta Police spokesman said Thursday.
Christopher Andrews, 25, of Marietta, and Quinton Wilson, 27, of Jonesboro, are facing two counts of armed robbery, and may be linked to a rash of crimes in the region.
Marietta Police spokesman David Baldwin said in a press release the two are accused of back-to-back armed robberies at the end of April at the SunTrust Bank on Sandy Plains Road and the Family Dollar on Powder Springs Road, both in Cobb County.
Detective from multiple agencies found the suspects might also be linked to many other armed robberies. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Douglasville Police Department located and arrested the men. Both also face two counts of aggravated assault, Baldwin said. Other charges are pending.
“The Marietta Police Department Detectives Division would like to thank the Cobb County Police Department, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit, the Douglasville Police Department and the FBI for the collaborative effort to bring two serial armed robbery subjects to justice,” the press release stated.
