Officer Injured While Chasing Tattooer

A Douglasville police officer was injured while engaged in a foot chase with a tattooist.

Douglasville police officer Lt. Brad Loudermilk tore his right ACL while pursuing a suspect accused of tattooing teenagers in his basement, according to the Douglas County Sentinel today.

Loudermilk was chasing Jesse James Radley, 22, who fled on foot. The injury will require surgery and rehab, which could keep Loudermilk off the job for about 12 months, Chief Chris Womack told the newspaper.

Radley, of Douglasville, appeared in Douglas County court Wednesday charged with obstruction, criminal trespass and two counts of unlawful tattooing the body of a person under the age of 18, according to the Sentinel. Radley is accused of tattooing a 17-year-old and 16-year-old in his basement with a tattoo gun.
