The suspect was shot in the chest near a Temple, Ga., residence.
A Carroll County sheriff’s deputy shot an ax-wielding man Friday morning, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
The shooting occurred around 5 a.m. on Levans Road in Temple.
The deputy responded to a 911 call about the man who approached the deputy swinging the ax as the officer went around the corner to the back of the house.
