Man Dies of Heart Attack While Breaking Up Dog Fight

Tim Thomas, of Douglas County, died of a heart attack tonight while trying to save a smaller dog from his own two pit bulls.

Tim Thomas, 49, had a heart attack and died earlier tonight while trying to save a little dog that his own two were attacking, CBS Atlanta is reporting.

The attack happened in Douglas County, on Mitchell Mill Rd.

Thomas, who already had health problems, had let his dogs, Bambi and Boo, outside to go to the bathroom and they attacked a 10-to-15 pound smaller dog, according to the report. The smaller dog is in "rough shape," according to the CBS reporter on the scene.

Thomas' brother has elected to have the two dogs euthanized, CBS said.
