Man Charged with Cruelty to Children After Infant's Skull Fracture

Jada Jawan Goodson, 22, was charged with cruelty to children after his 5-month-old infant was admitted into Scottish Rite Children's Hospital with a bilateral fracture of the skull.

Jada Jawan Goodson, 22, was arrested Wednesday by the and charged with cruelty to children after his 5-month-old infant was admitted into Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital with a bilateral fracture of the skull, according to the Sheriff's Facebook page.

In April of 2012 Investigator Cindy West became involved in a suspected Child Abuse investigation. Interviews, medical information and reports from the child’s physician, a specialist from Scottish Rite, state the injuries... to the infant were violent inflicted injuries, according to the Facebook posting. Medical specialists also stated that the injury was very recent, occurring just prior to the emergency room admittance. Goodson was the primary caregiver the evening the injuries occurred.

Arrest records indicate that Jawan is being held in the and no bond has yet been set.
