Update 3:20 p.m.:
Christopher Michael Newell, 28, of Lithia Springs, has also been arrested and charged with molesting his two children, both under 10 years of age, according to investigator Joshua Miller, Douglas County Sheriff's Department.
At the time of the accusation, Newell was the roommate of Paul William Gammell, previously arrested.
Newell was arrested on his way to pick up his wife from work.
Newell is currently in the Douglas County Jail, being held without bond, according to arrest records. The records also indicate that Newell was arrested earlier this year on possession of methamphetamine.
A man accused of molesting two children under ten years of age is still in the Douglas County Jail today after he was arrested Tuesday. He is being held without bond, according to arrest records.
Investigator Joshua Miller, Douglas County Sheriff's Department, said Paul William Gammell, 28, of Douglasville, had been wanted for about a year until a warrant was served on him at his home Tuesday and he was arrested.
Gammell was the roommate of a family when the two children accused him of molesting them, Miller said. The Department of Family and Children Services stepped in immediately and the man was removed from his living arrangement with the children. Gammell, however, eluded capture until his arrest Tuesday.
Miller said more details about the case could not be released because some aspects are still under investigation.
