Man Accused of Threatening Wife Denied Bond

Matthew M. McGee is facing charges of terroristic threats and violating a Family Violence Act protective order.

A Douglasville man was denied bond Monday, accused of threatening to kill his wife.

According to Douglas County jail records, Matthew M. McGee has been charged with terroristic threats and violation of a Family Violence Act order. According to the warrant cited by the Douglas County Sentinel, he told his wife if he could not have her, he would kill her.

McGee also is accused of go to this wife’s residence at least three times this month without her knowledge, violating the protective order. McGee reportedly faced family violence charges in November.

McGee, who has partial custody of the couple’s two children, denies the charges. “I’m not trying to hurt anybody,” he told the court.
