An inmate in the Douglas County Jail faces additional charges after a K-9 search of the dorm uncovered an amount of marijuana.

The department said in a news release that Malcom Webb appeared before a Magistrate Court judge and was given a $5,000 bond on the new charges of marijuana possession of under one ounce and possession by an inmate.

The dorm was searched after receiving a tip. According to the news release, Deputy Adams and K-9 partner Bando found the marijuana inside a toilet paper roll hidden in the mattress of Webb's bunk.

Love the Douglas County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit! We are lucky to have these fine officers and their loyal canine partners. I love their education program for our schools, too. Support their annual Canine Cancer Fundraising program! Thank you.
