I-20 Stops Lead to Drug, Forgery Arrests

One pound of pot and a fake ID card were found.

Lavard Louis, 34, of Oxford, MS was arrested with one pound of marijuana Wednesday when members of the Douglas County Sheriff's F.I.N.D. Unit were alerted by a canine to the drugs, hidden in the trunk and quarter panel area of his car. The arrest was made on Interstate 20 west bound, near Liberty Rd.

Ivan Reyes-Alvarez, 30, of Austin, TX, was arrested in a separate stop by the F.I.N.D. Unit when he was found to be in possession of a fake North Carolina identification card with a false name and date of birth. He was charged with one count of felony forgery.
