Hit-and-Run Driver Sought by GSP

The Georgia State Patrol is searching for a hit-and-run driver in a Douglas County crash that put a motorcycle rider in the hospital.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run crash this afternoon in Douglas County that injured a motorcyclist. The crash occurred around 5:35 p.m. as a Harley Davidson being operated by Travis James Moon, 20 from Douglasville, was traveling east on Bankhead Highway and crossing Thornton Rd.

The motorcycle was hit in the rear by a black Dodge Ram truck. The motorcycle was knocked to the ground and Moon was ejected. The truck then left the scene. Moon was taken to Grady Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Anyone with information on the vehicle that hit the motorcycle is asked to call GSP Villa Rica at 770-459-3661.
