Forgery Arrest Made at Villa Rica Bank
Octavia Adrienne Avey, 36 of Marietta, was arrested on May 18 and charged with forgery.
The Villa Rica Police Department was notified of a person trying to cash a forged check at Region’s Bank on May 18, according to a report from the Villa Rica Police Department. As Officer Jacob Brown arrived, the bank employees identified the person as she was trying to leave the bank. Officer Brown stopped the person and detained her as the incident was being investigated.
The check was confirmed as being forged and the person trying to cash it was arrested, according to the report. The person was identified as Octavia Adrienne Avey, 36 of Marietta. She was charged with forgery in the third degree and taken to the Carroll County Jail.
