Update: Crash on I-20 East Bound

The name of the driver who died is Chad Whitmore Armstrong, age 33, from Temple, GA in Paulding County.

Update: 4:30 p.m.Β  The name of the driver who died is Chad Whitmore Armstrong, age 33, from Temple, GA in Paulding County.

The investigating trooper's report indicated that the driver suffered from a medical condition that caused the death and not injuries sustained from the crash, according to an email from Franka Young, Georgia State Patrol, Public Information Office.

There were no other vehicles involved in the crash. And no passengers were in the vehicle.

The vehicle left the road and overturned.

There has been a one-vehicle crash on east-bound Interstate 20. The crash happened approximately within the past hour. The initial indication is that the driver may have had a medical condition and died, according to Gordy Wright, the Public Information Officer for the Georgia State Patrol.

It does not appear the death was from the crash. The vehicle left the road and overturned.

All lanes are reportedly now open.

Georgia State Troopers are still on the scene.
