A Cobb County deputy from Douglasville has been accused of sexually assaulting a female inmate, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
A warrant alleges Deputy Alvin Blake Sutherland, 51, made physical contact with an unamed female inmate at the Cobb jail on Jan. 11. Sutherland is charged with aggravated sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, sexual assault by a member of law enforcement, and violation of oath of public office, according to the report.
Arrest records indicate that Sutherland remains in the Douglas County jail. Bond is expected to be set at $100,000, according to the AJC.
