2 Killed in I-20 Wreck Near Villa Rica

The accident involved a tractor-trailer truck and a Cadillac SUV around 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 12.

Two people were killed in a fiery accident that shut down I-20 in Carroll County Thursday evening, according to reports.

WSB-TV, which posted a raw video from the scene, reported the accident involved a tractor-trailer truck and a Cadillac SUV around 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 12. Both vehicles struck the median at the South Van Wert Road Bridge in the Villa Rica area of Carroll County. The cab of the truck hit the bridge pillar and caught fire, killing two occupants. Two people in the SUV were sent to the hospital.

The Douglas County Sentinel reported two other vehicles were damaged when they struck debris in the highway.
