Show Your Paws for a Cause

The S.H.A.R.E. House will hosting a dog show for a great cause this month and you and your dog are invited.

Has anyone ever told you that you and your dog look alike?

Does your dog do really neat tricks?

If you think your dog is something special, you might just want to enter him in the third annual Paws-an-Effect Dog Show. The show takes place on Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Dog Area and it’s happening for a good cause. Don’t have a dog? Don’t worry; everyone is welcome, and there will be a few good shelter dogs there who are available for adoption.

Recently, I had the opportunity to talk with Charles Branson, the fundraising chair for the S.H.A.R.E. House, about the event.

Thank you to Charles Branson for taking the time to answer our questions. I’d like to encourage anyone who can to attend. Not only will you be helping raise money for one of the county’s greatest charitable organizations, but you will be helping to raise awareness for the county’s homeless pets. And who knows, you might just meet a furry friend you never knew you needed!   If you’d like more information about the dog show and the purpose of the show, visit the S.H.A.R.E House website. The Deer Lick Park dog area is located near the tennis courts at Deer Lick Park, which is at 2105 Mack Road in Douglasville.
