County Fire Chief and City Coverage

I was informed our chief is a contract employee. Did not know that. Anyone hear contract not being renewed? Who will be new chief etc?

Also, we live in a city mentioned that might not be covered any longer by fire service. This will have an impact on homeowners insurance ratings etc. Does anyone know if the County and cities have reached an agreement?
