Virginia Knott Dollar Habercam Dalton, 81, Dies

Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, Sept. 21, at 2 p.m. from Fellowship Baptist Church located at 43 Holmes Road in Carrollton.

Virginia Knott Dollar Habercam Dalton, 81 of Carrollton, passed away on Sept. 8. She was born on Dec. 12, 1931 in Carrollton, to the late Percy Sanders Knott and Sally Ivey Knott.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Ronald “Ronnie” E. Dollar; daughter, Deborah Dollar Otwell Mash; sister, Louise Dingler; brother, Willis Joe Knott; and granddaughter, Jennifer Otwell Bowman. Survivors include daughter, Teresa Dollar of Carrollton; sisters, Jerlene Stapler of Carrollton; and Betty Eason of Cave Springs, Ga.; four grandchildren, Mack Otwell of Bowdon, Reese Stephens and Charlotte Otwell of Bowdon, Jamie and Starla Otwell of Akron, Ohio, Matthew and Megan Dollar of Carrollton; and fourteen great grandchildren.

She retired from Southwire after having worked for 29 years and was a charter member of Carrollton Fellowship Baptist Church. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, Sept. 21, at 2 p.m. from Fellowship Baptist Church located at 43 Holmes Road in Carrollton. The family will receive friends at the church from noon until the hour of service.

In keeping with the family’s wishes, the body has been cremated. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Virginia Dalton Memorial Fund in care of; Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel.
