Vickie L. Clark, 65, Dies

Vickie L. Clark, 65 of Temple, passed away Saturday, Jan. 19. She was born in Atlanta on Jan. 23, 1947 to the late Ernest Cook and Minnie Kate Cook. She was retired from Georgia Tech where she worked as Plant Operations Manager. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Douglasville.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Cook.

She is survived by her mother, Minnie Kate Cook Marlow; daughter and son-in-law, Melisa and Howard Palmour of Bremen; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Erin Hopgood of Villa Rica; sister and brother-in-law, Ernestine and Frank Gay of Austell; grandchildren, Savannah, Ethan and Tyler Hopgood, all of Villa Rica.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 24, at noon from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Dr. John Pennington officiating. Interment will follow in Mozley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Jan. 23, from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
