Thelma Williams Rice Foster Dies

The family received friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, today from 2 until 4 p.m. and will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. and Saturday, July 28, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

Thelma Williams Rice Foster, age 90 of Douglasville, passed away Wednesday, July 25. She was born Nov. 24, 1921 in Canton, the daughter of the late  Franklin Williams and the late Pansy Bailey Williams. She was a member of in Douglasville and she worked as a bookkeeper.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Walter Rice, Jr.; second husband, Adam R. Foster; and sister, Jewel Williams Ledford.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sara “Sally” R. and Michael L. Hunt of Douglasville; one grandson, Louis R. Talley; one great-granddaughter, Brittany Talley; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family received friends at , Douglas Chapel, today from 2 until 4 p.m. and will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. and Saturday, July 28, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, July 28, at 2 p.m. from McEachern Memorial United Methodist Church with Dr. Wayne Bray officiating. Musical selections will be provided by Macy Dennis. Interment will follow at Macland Cemetery.
