Syble Parker Miller, 86, Dies

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 20, at 1 p.m. from Hightower's Memorial Chapel, with Minister James Massengill officiating, Josh Miller delivering the Eulogy and Kimberly Seaton, presenting a poem.

Syble Parker Miller,  86 of Douglasville, passed away, Thursday, July 18. She was born Feb. 21, 1927 in Randolph County, Alabama to the late Joe Parker and Rebecca Butler Parker. She was a homemaker and a devoted member of the Douglas Chapel Church of God for over sixty years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thad L. Miller, former Police Chief of Douglasville, GA; daughter, Judy Diane Parks and brothers: Paul Parker, Silas Parker and Ralph Parker, Curtis Parker and sister: Sarah Pearce.

Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law: Connie and Ike Jackson of Temple, Phyliss and Gary Connally of Douglasville; son and daughter-in-law: Sheriff Phil and Gloria Miller of Douglasville; son-in-law: Rick Parks; sister: Betty Holmes of Carrollton; grandchildren: Michelle Fountain, Kimberly Seaton, Joshua Miller, Matthew Connally and Whitney Cole; great grandchildren: Makenzi Seaton, Kevin Miller and Phoenix Connally.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 20, at 1 p.m. from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel, with Minister James Massengill officiating, Josh Miller delivering the Eulogy and Kimberly Seaton, presenting a poem. Interment will follow in the Douglas Chapel Church of God Cemetery with Josh Miller, Matt Connally, Rick Parks, Mike Cole, Ryan Sammon and Will Sammon serving as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Members of the Douglas Chapel Church of God.

The family will receive friends today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
