Steve Eugene Mooney, Jr. Dies

Steve Eugene Mooney, Jr., age 55, of Douglasville, passed away Saturday, July 28, at his residence. He was born March 16, 1957 in Fulton County, Georgia the son of the late Steve Eugene Mooney, Sr. and the late  Margaret Katherine Matthews Canup. He worked in the Oil Refinery business for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Pamala Mooney of Douglasville; daughters and son-in-law, Kellie Marie and Gene Kimbro of Douglasville, Tiffany Cecile Mooney of Douglasville; son, Steve Eugene Mooney, III of Douglasville; sisters and brother-in-law, Elaine and Larry Darsey of Box Springs, Loraine Collins of Douglasville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Stanley and Sherry Mooney of Snellville, Wesley and Tammy Jean Mooney of Carrollton, Terry Mooney of Powder Springs; step-father, Nathan Dell Canup of Douglasville; grandchildren, MaryLynn Marie Gresham of Carrollton,, Katherine Cheynne Gresham of Alabama, Charles Wayne Gresham of Alabama, Alyssa Gabrielle Kimbro of Douglasville, Steve Eugene Mooney, IV of Douglasville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family received friends at in Douglasville, July 31, 2012 and today from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour. Funeral Services will be conducted today at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Toby Stephens officiating.
