Roy Lee Johnson, 78, Dies

Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 2 p.m. from Hightower's Memorial Chapel with Minister Mike Mallory officiating.

Roy Lee Johnson, 78 of Winston, passed away, Sunday, Jan. 20. He was born August 3, 1934 in Gwinnett County to the late Jess Johnson and Ida Brown Johnson. He worked during his career as a security officer with Parkway Regional Hospital and for the Inner Harbor Hospital. He was Baptist by faith.

In addition to his parents, Jess Johnson and Ida Brown Johnson, he was also preceded in death by his son, Chris Johnson and sister, Ruth Motes.

Survivors are his wife, Nadine Kathleen Johnson of Winston; daughter and son-in-law: Wanda & Jim Broadreick of Carrollton; son: Terry and Shannon Johnson of Calhoun, son and companion, Rocky Johnson and Teresa Chapman of Douglasville; sister: Lucille McGuire; brother: J. T. Johnson; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 2 p.m. from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Minister Mike Mallory officiating.

The family will receive friends, Wednesday, Jan. 23, from Noon until the service hour of 2 p.m.

In accordance with his wishes, his body will be cremated.
