Roy Earl Wilbanks, Jr., 79, Dies
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 11 a.m. from Hightower's Memorial Chapel in Douglasville with Brother Danny West and Dr. John Pennington officiating.
Roy Earl Wilbanks, Jr., 79 of Douglasville, passed away Saturday, Jan. 25. He was born in Maysville, AL., on Dec. 20, 1934, the son of the late Roy Earl Wilbanks, Sr. and the late Vivian Keel Wilbanks. He was an insurance and real estate broker for many years and was Methodist by faith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Helen Stewart Wilbanks of Douglasville; daughter, Lynda Leigh Wilbanks of Mableton; son and daughter-in-law, Allen Roy and Tamera Wilbanks of California; step-children and their spouses, Bobby Barfield of Douglasville, Bonnie and Danny Harris of Whitesburg, Serena and Mickey Goolsby of Villa Rica; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and his loving cat, Oscar.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 11 a.m. from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel in Douglasville with Brother Danny West and Dr. John Pennington officiating.

Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Westview Cemetery, 1680 Ralph David Abernathy SW, Atlanta, GA 30310.
The family will receive friends on Monday, Jan. 27, from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
