Rodney Alan Parker, 44, Dies

Rodney Alan Parker, 44 of Carrollton, passed away at his residence Sunday, April 28. He was born Feb. 20, 1969 in Macomb County, MI., to George Parker and Janene Schoonover Parker. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and was self employed for many years as the owner of Manufacturing Solutions. He currently was employed at Great Lakes Metal Stamping, in Cusseta AL.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Renee Avery Parker of Carrollton; son, Mason Parker; daughter and son in law, Amber and Bryan Phillips of Carrollton, son and daughter in law, Wayne and Brandy Knight of Lagrange; father and mother in law, Coleman and Sue Avery of Lagrange; grandmother, Genella Schoonover; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, May 02, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Dr. Shane Roberson and Rev. Doug New officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Garrett D enney, Wally Hines, Taylor Kinna, Blake Williams, Chris Strong, and Derek League. Music will be provided by Becky Griffin and Christa Simpson.
