Phillip W. 'Phil' Eason, 60, Dies

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Jan. 8, from 4 until 8 p.m. at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel.

Phillip W. “Phil” Eason, 60 of Whitesburg, passed away Monday, Jan. 6. He was born Nov. 4, 1953 in Whitesburg, to the late Troy Ashmore and Velma Eason. He attended Rotherwood First Congregational Methodist Church. He enjoyed raising his game roosters and also loved music, especially bluegrass in which he sang and played.

Besides his parents, preceding him in death are a sister, Doris Crawford; brother, Larry Eason; and brother in law, Harold Musick. Survivors include his loving wife, Donna Jones Eason of Whitesburg; his boys, Randall Wright of Carrollton, Ronald Wright of Whitesburg, and Robbie Wright of Whitesburg; brothers, Freddie Eason of Carrollton, and Jerry Eason (Wanda) of Carrollton; father and mother in law, Horace and Ferrell Jones of Whitesburg; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Jan. 9, at 11 a.m. from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Smith and Rev. Keith Jiles officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Musick, Jason Musick, Jamie Musick, Adam Musick, Jonathan Musick, and Dustin Musick.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Jan. 8, from 4 until 8 p.m. at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel.
