Navy Vet Raymond Luke Vaughn, 90, Dies

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, Dec. 24, from 10 a.m. to noon with the funeral service following at noon in the Rosehaven Chapel with Rev. Danny Watters officiating.

Raymond Luke Vaughn, 90 of Douglasville, passed away Sunday, Dec. 22. He was born May 26, 1923 in Ellenwood, GA.

Mr. Vaughn was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II. He was the retired owner of Vaughn Electric, served on the board of directors for Greystone Power, and was a Mason. Mr. Vaughn was a member of Beulah Baptist Church where he formerly served as a deacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Livingston Vaughn and Illa Jane Conner Vaughn and his son, Rodney Vaughn.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Edwards Vaughn; sister, Catherine Vaughn; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, Dec. 24, from 10 a.m. to noon with the funeral service following at noon in the Rosehaven Chapel with Rev. Danny Watters officiating. Interment will follow at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.
