Mt. Zion High Student Thomas Cacy Simpson, 16, Dies

Memorial services will be Sunday, Jan. 19 at 2 p.m. from the Mount Zion High School Gym with Reverend John Lemmings and Coach Michael Cleek officiating.

Thomas Cacy Simpson of Mount Zion passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, at his residence. He was born in Carroll County, Feb. 3, 1997, son of Ronald Eugene Simpson and Susan Kelli Cole Simpson. Cacy was a student at Mount Zion High School in the 11th grade.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Newman Simpson and Bernice Lee Lively Simpson.

Survivors include his parents, Ronnie and Kelli Simpson, Mount Zion; maternal grandparents, Charles N. Cole, Carrollton, Patty and Earlis McGraw of Mt. Zion; sister, Cady Ann and Jesse Bollen, Carrollton; a nephew, Noah Bollen of Carrollton; brothers, Cody Cole Simpson, Corey Simpson, both of Mount Zion; a special friend, Jada Smith; a number of Aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial services will be Sunday, Jan. 19 at 2 p.m. from the Mount Zion High School Gym with Reverend John Lemmings and Coach Michael Cleek officiating. Recorded music will be furnished. The family has requested that flowers be omitted. Donations may be made to the Cacy Simpson Scholarship Fund.
