Margaret Russell Baker, 81, Dies

The family will receive friends from Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Tuesday, Dec. 11, from 7 until 9 p.m.

Margaret Russell Baker, of Douglasville, passed away Saturday, Dec. 8. She was born Feb. 22, 1931 in Atlanta, the daughter of the late Wesley Russell and the late Ruby Hawkins Russell. She was a Regional Manager for National Cinema Services. She was the first woman to achieve management status in the theatre supply and service industry. She was a member of the Episcopal Faith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Freeman Baker and brother, Herbert Russell.

She is survived by her sisters and brother-in-law, Irene and Bill Adams of Powder Springs, Frances Cole of Hiram; daughters and son-in-law, Linda and Wayne Middleton of Virginia, Sandra Kingrey of Roswell; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Jean Baker of Flowery Branch, Stephen and Brigitte Baker of Douglasville; eight grandchildren, Michael B., Michael J., Matthew, Steven, Sarah, Casey, Jennifer and Kellie; two great-grandchildren, Makenzi and Sydney. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Tuesday, Dec. 11, from 7 until 9 p.m. Graveside Services will be conducted Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 11:30 a.m. at the Riverview Memorial Gardens.
