Ludie Mae Huddleston Strickland, 76, Dies

Funeral Service were conducted Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 2 p.m. from Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Jackson officiating.

Ludie Mae Huddleston Strickland, 76 of Winston, passed away Friday, January 11. She was born Dec. 4, 1936 in Cleburne, AL., the daughter of the late Oliver Huddleston and the late Georgia Laminack Huddleston. She worked for the Banning Yarn Mill as a Spinning Frame Operator for many years. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandchild, Pearly Mae Strickland; child, Hubert Frank Strickland; brothers, Hubert Huddleston, Grady Huddleston, Fred Huddleston and Marion Huddleston; sisters, Frances Strickland and Agnes Swart and sister-in-law, Betty Huddleston.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Redman Strickland of Winston; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Lonnie Ard of Winston; sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Cathy Strickland of Winston, Richard and Trich Strickland of Winston; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Service were conducted Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 2 p.m. from Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Jackson officiating. Interment followed at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
