Lou Nell Haney Browning, 75, Dies

Funeral services will be held on today at noon from Hightower's Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.

Lou Nell Haney Browning, 75, passed away Saturday, Nov. 17. She was born on April 8, 1937 to the late William Jefferson Haney and the late Della Shead Haney. She was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William Bobby Browning; sisters, Clara Haney, Edna Green, Evelyn Parson, Mary Reid, Jacquelyn Marbut, and Jewell Brawner.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Regina and David Owenby of Topton, North Carolina, Laura Browning of Douglasville, Jeff and Yvonne Browning of Bowdon; sister and brother-in-law, Opal and Charles Harmon of Winston, brother and sister-in-law; William and Martha Haney of Douglasville; grandchildren, Eric and Stephanie Shaw, Heather and Chad DeHart, Curt and Nicole Shaw, Jason LeMastus, Meridith Howard, Josh Browning, Heather Kirk, Kristin Dial; great-grandchildren, Ethan Shaw, Malina Shaw, Alexis LeMastus, Marleigh Ausby, Jackson Kirk, Kaley Valverde, Tyson Valverde, Landon Valderde, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on today at noon from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.

The family received friends Monday, Nov. 19, at the funeral home.
