Linda Nelson, 64, Dies

Linda Nelson, 64 of Douglasville, passed away Thursday, March 14. She was born July 14, 1948 in Austin, TX.

Linda was a graduate of West Georgia College School of Nursing and was an RN for over 30 years, working at several hospitals, and currently was at Emory University Hospital. She was a professional seamstress and loved knitting, crocheting, cooking, and baking. She was Christian by faith.

She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Luedecke and her step father, Ted Woth.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Barry Nelson; son, Dutch Nelson and his wife Sha'; daughter, Laurie Nelson Barron and her husband Daniel; grandchildren, Rebecca, Sloan, Emma Catherine, Nate, Emma, and Brandon; mother, Gerry Woth; brothers, Rick Luedecke and his wife Alice, Ron Luedecke; nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be Sunday, March 17, at 3 p.m. in the Rosehaven Chapel with Chaplain Heather Flaherty officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehaven Memorial Park.
