Larry Talmadge Madden, 66, Dies

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 4 until 9 p.m.

Larry Talmadge Madden, 66 of Waco, passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, in a Rome hospital. He was born in Haralson County, March 30, 1947, son of the late J. E. Madden and Jewell Harper Madden. Mr. Madden was in the upholstery business.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Sue Pierce, Joyce Maddox and a brother, Jimmy Madden.

Survivors include children; Ray and Sharon Madden, Mississippi, Teresa Jackson of Bremen, Anita and Geary Swanger, Bowdon, Daniel Laney of Bremen, Donna Laney, Bremen; his companion, Margie Shepard of Waco; sisters, Becky and Dennis Ellis of Tallapoosa, Dot and Rayford Frashier of Carrollton; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 4 until 9 p.m.

Services will be Wednesday, Jan. 1 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Reverend Jonathon Ellis and Reverend Roy Frashier officiating. Taped music will be furnished. Rayford Frashier, Dennis Ellis, Ronald Pierce, Harvey Pierce, Gary Wright and Cody Howell will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Holly Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
